Pozdrav,hello. I want to remove the bicycle chain to clean it. However, I’m not sure whether it has a quick link. I watched Gremlin’s videos, but I still can’t figure out whether this is just a regular pin or a quick link. The chain has nine speeds. I am attaching a photo.

I ride 10 speed drivetrain, but i am looking for another bicycle, more sporty type, for fast riding. There is some new bicycles on a local used market (2023 year, 600$ price, etc.) and they comes with 11 speed drivetrain and even more. Should i be afraid of it? Is there something i should know...

Info you give away is priceless, i will read it, thank you! When it comes to quick links on 10 speed chain, i dont quite understand how disconnecting the link can cause any significant damage so there is a need to use new one after maintenance

From reading online, this is quite a dividing subject. So I might as well check what do you recommend. Should I just install it as it is or should I degrease it and then apply a chain lube?
