Petrol (gasoline) for degreasing?

This often comes up when I talk about degreasers.

Petrol (gasoline) is an awesome degreaser (cleans and evaporates quickly), BUT it is highly flammable and quite toxic, so treat it with care, and use odourless mineral spirits or diesel for degreasing.
