I got a good question on my video titled "How to PROPERLY shift gears on a bicycle?"
YouTube makes it next to impossible to find questions and answers, and I believe the answer will help more people by being posted on the forum, so here it is. The question:

I tend to only use the 20 leftmost percent of the back with the leftmost front gear. And only the 20 rightmost percent of the back with the rightmost front gear.
Rather than avoiding the rightmost percent with the leftmost front gear, I never even get anywhere close to it.
So I do most of my shifting with the middle front gear, and only use the other front gears if I need to go accelerate from a standstill, or (respectively) if I want to go really fast on a declining or straight road.
It's very useful because it reduces the amounts of time that I need to hastily shift across tons of gears on both sides, and also makes it easier not to mix up things.
Is this bad for the gearbox? Should I stay on the leftmost and rightmost gear longer before using the center front gear?
